No government affiliation

Armed First Responder is a private training program of GSFT – School Safety Certification. It is not a government agency and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the State of Texas, the Texas Department of Public Safety, or any fire, EMS, or law-enforcement agency. References to statutes and agency forms are for information only.

Training outcomes

Completing a course does not by itself establish legal authority to carry a handgun on duty. Course completion, certification, and any agency approval are not guaranteed. Participants must meet the program’s written and proficiency standards, and certificates of completion are issued by Texas DPS under its own requirements.

Quotes and services

Submitting a quote request does not create a contract. Training is provided under the terms of the quote, purchase order, or agreement between GSFT – School Safety Certification and the hiring department.
